Through epic poems and myths, short stories
and novels, films and TV shows, humans have always found a way to create
stories. Whether it comes from our natural inclination to explain everything or
from our love of identifying human elements in all aspects of the world, we
tend to love filling our minds with epic tales. This series of images,
taken in Portland, Oregon, depicts a spooky, broken-down building named The
Witches Castle. While this title stems from a story of the old land owner who
claimed his wife bewitched him and forced him to shoot his son-in-law, it is
actually an old bathroom and ranger station that was abandoned in the
nineteenth century.
