Questions on Propaganda Reading and Video

1. Considering the paper's definition of propaganda, what do you think draws the line between advertising and propaganda?

2. In the paper, it claims that journalism is also a form of propaganda based on advertisements and the government. In a capitalist society, where competition and profit make business possible, how do you suggest that journalism outlets, such as the New York Times, run their paper without advertisements? Furthermore, can they run it without receiving information from the government, or is it their job to take this information and check and analyze it? Would their need for money actually encourage them to be more investigative and objective? If they can't be unbiased, where do you find accurate information?
